Why We Built Sapphire Cove This Way
The convictions behind Sapphire Cove — ingredient-first, sensitive-skin-first, and honest about what we do and don't control.
Every brand tells a story. Ours is smaller than most, and that's the point.
Sapphire Cove started because I wanted a skincare routine I could trust — ingredient by ingredient — without squinting at marketing copy or decoding claims that didn't mean much.
What we actually do
I want to be plain about this: we don't run a lab. The formulas in our launch collection are private-label products made by a manufacturing partner that develops, produces, and QA-tests them. What Sapphire Cove does is choose the collection, publish exactly what's in it, and stand behind it with real, human support.
Ingredient-first
Every product we choose starts with a short list of ingredients we can defend on their own. If we can't explain why something is in the bottle, we don't add the product.
Sensitive skin by default
Our default assumption is that the person using our products has reactive skin. Everyone else benefits from that assumption, too — gentler formulas tend to be kinder to everyone.
Transparency as a discipline
When we can tell you where something comes from, we will. When we can't yet, we'll say so. We're still gathering documentation from our manufacturer before we make hard claims — like vegan or cruelty-free — for each product. Trust comes from the boring parts: publishing the full ingredient list, pointing to who tests what, and not overpromising.
We're in pre-launch now. If that sounds like the kind of skincare you've been looking for, join the waitlist and be among the first to try it.
